It seems like it all began with the poppies.  I remember driving through the hills of what became Silicon Valley and seeing the golden poppies.

Today those memories make playful images. Maybe they keep me playful. I keep returning to them, just as I return to the trees.

What's new is that the work has taken on a more abstract and minimalist direction—one I did not see coming, but one that seems ready to stay.

I work with cotton, silk and linen for the most part, both commercial and my own painted materials, sometimes screened and stamped.
